"Amigo"

My Great Grandfather (Amigo) was one of the most talented artists to ever exist. I wish we could have met and shared our love for creating and capturing beauty in the little moments. We would have chatted for hours about our cameras, the joy we feel when taking photos, and the connection that a simple image could bring to everyone near and far. My family recently began digitalizing his old film slides, and what started out as curiosity quickly turned into an awestruck moment when we saw almost identical images! Our first discovery was in Glendalough, Ireland standing in the same places with strikingly similar photos (I'm still blown away when I see them!!!!) While never realizing we were going to be visiting the exact same spots as him before we left for our Europe trip in 2023, we are now more excited than ever to keep discovering Amigo's other photos and adventures! This project's main focus is showcasing side-by-sides of our photos, as well as drawing inspiration to recreate some of his stunning images.
